Pursuant to Texas Government Code, Annotated, Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Open Meetings Act (the "Act"), Town Council will recess into Executive Session (closed meeting) to discuss the following: Consultation with Attorney §551.071(1),(2): Consultation with attorney regarding pending or anticipated litigation, or a settlement offer; or on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter: 6. Platting, Zoning, Permits and Moratorium RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION In accordance with Texas Government Code, Section 551, the Town Council will reconvene into Open Session and consider action, if any, on matters discussed in Executive Session.
Hold a public hearing and consider an ordinance on the 1st reading to adopt and enact a moratorium on acceptance, authorization, and approvals necessary for the subdivision, site planning, development, or construction on property within a defined geographic boundary, generally surrounding FM 407 between IH-35W to the west and US 377 to the east, and extending approximately 2,900 feet to the north of FM 407, and 5,300 feet to the south of FM 407; providing findings of fact; providing exemptions; providing a waiver procedure; providing for a termination date; providing for severability, and providing an effective date.
